My Shoe Queen....giving her Grammie a run for her money

Well....I had to take a picture of Kenna in one of her fashionable outfits. I was trying to catch a good photo so I can attempt to make a b-day card for her and send it into Sprout tv in hopes that it gets chosen to show on air. I didn't realize what a matching monster I had created. I was getting her ready for church the other day and asked her to put on the shoes I was handing her....and my 2 year old said "Mom those shoes definitely do not match". I had to laugh....that was the first time I had heard her use definitely in a sentence and correctly at that! She then came in with another pair of shoes and said "these absolutely match mom".....once again I had to laugh. She is also a HUGE shoe fanatic....and has been for quite a while. Her latest favorite type of shoe is a ballet flat....especially the ones from the Gap....since they have an elastic strap and are easy to slip on. She calls them her ballet shoes...and loves to wear them. Luckily I have been able to get them off of ebay used for cheap.

what a sight to see...

Thank goodness we have found two sweet girls to babysit for us....so that Keith and I can go on the occasional date. It makes me laugh though because one of the gals seems to have a problem putting on Konner's diapers. I got Konner out of bed the morning after a date night that we had (we went and saw the movie Fireproof....good movie with a good message)....and he walked into the living room and this was the sight I saw. I had to laugh....he didn't even seem the least bit bothered that his diaper and pants were half on and half off.

Really sad week

Well this has been a really sad/bad week for me....and for the whole Prince clan. It started on Monday evening when I started spotting. I was at bible study and the ladies there reassured me that it was probably very normal. I sighed and prayed they were right. Tuesday it got a little worse and I went into the Air Force Academy clinic where they had me fasting....and I arrived and drank the glucose drink....waited an hour & 1/2 and then went in for them to draw my blood. Well the airman started pulling out vile, after vile and after vile.....and I started to freak a little. He even seemed shocked....so we counted them. There were 11 viles to draw blood! 11!! That is insane! The stinking AF hasn't figured out that you can use 1 vile of blood to test more than one thing!! Needless to say.....after I had been fasting and it was then 1:45pm.....drank a drink that spiked my blood sugar through the roof....and then drew 11 viles of blood....I wasn't feeling so hot. I warned the young guy that I felt like I was going to pass out.... so he told me to lean over the arm rest. Next thing I knew, I had passed out and he was tapping me on the shoulder and asking me if I was alright. I obviously wasn't alright. He didn't even know I had passed out....he thought I was resting....so there is no telling how long I layed there. When they were finally able to get me to open my eyes....I then warned them that I felt like I was going to throw up.....which I did. What fun.......so when I finally got some color back into my face and was able to walk....I went out into the waiting room where I had to inform Keith what had happened (since they had not bothered to let him know) He of course had been wondering why I had been back there for 30 minutes! Anyway....the rest of that day I was shot.

Well Keith and I had already decided to switch me to Tricare Standard so that I could pick a civilian Dr of my choice....and say goodbye to the military doctors for this pregnancy. It would mean some money out of pocket but we decided it would be worth it....if nothing else so we wouldn't have to drive an hour each way to the Doctor....that is crazy. So I changed to an awesome Dr whom I have had several women recommend. Since I had been spotting I called and made an appointment for an ultrasound for Friday.....but that Wednesday rolled around and the bleeding was worse AND Keith was supposed to leave on a retreat that Thursday. (why can't anything be simple?) So I asked if I could come in that day and have the ultrasound. They got me in....and needless to say I didn't get the warm fuzzies from the technician. She didn't say anything the whole time....except to ask at the end if I was certain on my date of my last period. I said yes....which I was certain. So....I knew something was wrong.

We walked out to the car and got a call from my Dr asking me if I would go to the lab and have my pregnancy hormone levels tested. So I marched up stairs and had it tested. From that moment on, I couldn't stop crying the rest of the day. My bleeding got WAY worse, the cramping turned to severe, and the back pain started. So I knew.

I went in today and they tested my blood levels again. So Wednesday my pregnancy hormone levels were at 7,350 and today (2 days later) they are 1,200. So it has been confirmed. I had a miscarriage. I never thought that would happen to me. I have had two children with no problems.....it makes you question everything. So anyway this week has been an emotional roller coaster. I don't know how woman ever get the strength to try again.

Konner & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Konner is such a singer and dancer.....(don't know where he got it! haha!) This is the best example....but catching him doing it and having a camera at the same time are really hard!! He is singing so much sooner than Kenna did.....American Idol watch out!! I have way more to write about....but I want to wait until after tomorrow before I post.

Good deals on Craigslist....gotta love it!!

Well......it seems like I have been doing lots of buying lately on Craigslist! I usually like to sell......but with the new baby on the way.....it has given me new purpose to shop!! Dangerous!! Here are a few buys....(I tell you I wish I had know about it with our first born....although I think it has just recently gained such popularity) I seriously think I have been able to get nicer stuff this time around because I am buying used stuff!! I know I will be able to turn around and sell this stuff when we are finished for the price I bought them.....maybe even make money in some instances.

Graco Travel Lite Bouncer- Folds flat and goes into travel bag in 2 easy clicks.....New is $90 I bought for $15
I got a 9 piece Pottery Barn bedding for baby #3 called Barnyard Friends (including a custom made boppy cover....ha!).....new is $600 I bought for $120

Kenna's new toddler bed.....I say new but new to us. New its $180 w/ mattress....I paid $40 total.
Papisan swing that swing side to side and front to back....nature sounds, songs, whole nine yards. New it's $90.00-$135.00.....I paid $25.
Kenna's new Pottery Barn bedding......called Brooke. Love it! Has trees, birds and owls.....it reminds me of an older antique look......kind of like my delicate grandmother many years ago.....but with a modern twist. We are going to either paint her room blue or khaki. We are currently shopping for Konner's bedding in hopes that we can get one that coordinates with Kenna's since they are going to have to share a room for a while. I am looking at Pottery Barn's bedding called Oscar.

Did he get any in his MOUTH??

I am wondering if Konner got any in his mouth. Konner loved Nutella & peanut butter on bread.....and he ate that with his breakfast and then spaghetti for dinner......and I think he may have gotten more food on the outside of him than the inside!!

Daddy tickling Konner....
I knew Konner has porcelain white skin....but next to daddy he really does look white!!

What a sweetie....I would hold up the camera and tell him to say cheese and he would smile and say "cheeee"

What hams!! He put on the glasses on turned right toward the camera!
Kenna had to run and go get her glasses too!! Too bad they are a couple sizes too small!!

poor sleepy baby

Well the other day we were out so much....that Konner never had a chance to take a nap (and wouldn't) so we got home and he plopped on the couch and was out at 5:15pm. UGH! I hate it when they try take a nap so late! Anyway....he slept through dogs, doorbells, phones, etc...Kenna has never in her almost 3 years fallen asleep anywhere other than her bed or car seat! Konner plays hard sleeps hard.

Is this not what this is for??!

Boys....they sure do find ways to climb into and get stuck anywhere!! Needless to say he needed a little assistance finishing this stunt. Konner went to his 18 month check up today (a month and half late) and he was on track. He was 55% in weight and 75% in height. So he is long and thin! Totally opposite of Kenna at that point......she was all 100%. He just has a thin little waist. Kenna finally started thinning out after two years old......but I guess Konner really started burning off his baby fat a lot sooner! (since he won't sit down!) ha!

Happy Birthday to me!! ha!

Well my birthday was Wednesday (I turned 32) and I got an awesome birthday gift! I found out I was pregnant!! I know your supposed to wait until you are 12 weeks before you tell anyone....but who can wait that long??! Not me! So.....we are expecting number 3 and I am hoping nd my goal is to not find out the sex. We will see if we have that kind of will power. But having 1 boy and 1 girl......if we are ever gonna not find out.....now it the time!! We were super excited.....we had originally thought we would start trying in May.....but now that is when I am due! ha! Goes to show you can't always plan things.

Colorado Springs Hot Air Balloon Classic

Well this weekend was the Colorado Springs Hor Air Balloon Classic. It was my first time to a Hot Air Balloon festival and it was really cool!! We went Saturday night to the Balloon Glo where they inflated all the balloons and then lit them up. Way cool.....remembered my camera.....but forgot the picture card!! DUH!! I did remember it today though!! Kenna and I woke up at 5:15am to head out at 5:30am so we could be there to the launch field to watch all the balloons launch at 7am. It was really neat but I am tired now!! As you can in some of the pictures....the balloon pilots would lift off the group....fly pretty low to the ground and then aim for the middle of the lake and dip the baskets down in the water....and then take off again! Crazy people! But it was fun to watch!!

Life back at the farm....

Konner carrying his doodlepro....he loves to bring it to me (and only me....no one else can evidently draw like me....haha) and he hands it to me.....gives me the pin and then dances around in anticipation and excitement while he waits to see what I will draw. Very funny.
Kassie is hot and lying on the floor to cool off.....Kenna I am sure is not helping the situation.

Konner and his beloved blanket.....no other one will do!! What a face....he sucks on his blanket instead of a binky or thumb.
What a charmer.....he is such a sweet boy. I will tell you what though.....if there is a way to hurt yourself doing something....he will find a way and do it!!! Just yesterday he was looking at a DVD case and pinched his tummy skin in the case when he closed it......pinched it so hard it bled on his diaper!!

Viva Las Vegas baby!

The girl's at Dick's Last Resort....that is a crazy place!
Melinda's family: Melinda's sister-in-law, Melinda's brother, John the groom, Melinda, Melinda's mom, and Melinda's dad.
The Beautiful Bride Melinda!!

An INSANELY yummy CHOCOLATE store in the Bellagio hotel. It makes every chocolate treat known to man...and this is a chocolate fountain with white, milk, and dark chocolate flowing down!
The ladies at lunch....Dick's write crazy phrases on paper...makes them into hats...and makes you wear them. What embarrassing fun! haha!
My best friend of 29 years..... Melinda
Brandi and Heather
Striking a pose with the Blue M&M outside M&M World....can you see a chocolate theme in this trip! haha! I actually didn't buy anything for me....just the kids. I start Weight watchers this week. Ugh! Needs to be done though!

Wonderful live gardens in the Bellagio hotel....

Melinda's mom, aunt and Melinda in Ceasar's Forum Shops

A picture of my mom and I in front of the Excalibur Hotel......where we stayed two of the nights.

Viva Las Vegas! Keith allowed me to go see my best friend Melinda get married and also go to my cousin's b-day party in Las Vegas this last weekend. I went for 5 days and it was awesome. Since I was alone....I could have gone to the armpit of the US and I would have been happy! Plus it helps to have some nice people to hang with....one of which was my mom! I was so excited that she got to meet me there....even if it were only for a few days. So first my friend Melinda married her now husband John at the Howard Johnson hotel on South Las Vegas Blvd....which was very nice. It was like seeing my sister get married....I was so happy for her, but in denial at the same time. I am just so happy she found someone to share her life with! After the wedding I went back to my Aunt Janie's house and helped her get ready for the big birthday bash at her house. I had a cousin Tobe turning 40, a cousin Kyle turning 13, cousin Tanner turning 9, and a friend Anthony turning 32 (I think 32). Anyway....lots of b-days....so we had 4 cakes! My aunt catered food from Bucca da Beppa and it was yummy! I didn't get much sleep while I was in Vegas but I had fun hanging with family and friends. On a silly side note....every time I would talk to Kenna on the phone while I was in Vegas she would say "Viva las Vegas Mom!" I would laugh and say "Viva las Vegas Kenna!" Makes sense since one of her favorite songs when she turned two was Elvis's rendition of Viva Las Vegas. She dances hilariously to that song!

I will say I do not miss walking around at 11pm at night and it still being 99 degrees outside! yuck! I like my 70 degree for a high Colorado weather!!! It's good to be home.
