Kenna the Builder

Well....Kenna has recently grown an interest and liking for Bob the Builder. Which is funny because we were talking to Keith on the phone the other night and we started singing the theme song. He was "Since when does Kenna like Bob the Builder?" And I said since you left!! Funny how kids likes and dislikes change so often. One minute they love PB&J and the next they hate it. Most days I can deal with the inconsistency.....but since Keith has been gone...I will have to say there are a few days where it drives me batty. Anyway.....Kenna now likes Bob and I happened to luck into a Bob costume at a garage sale the other day! Yeah! Cna't beat that for $1!! I added it to our dress up closet along with a dinosaur and UPS driver costume! All three costumes for $4!! I LOVE bargains!

*Note* No I did not dirty her face up so it would add to the construction worker look.....she did all of that on her own!! Believe me she needs no help getting a dirty face!!

Day at the park

The other day I took the kids to the America the Beautiful Park. It is a really cool park here in Colorado Springs....I wish it was a little closer....but still worth it!~ They have a really cool water fountain that the kids can play in and they LOVE it!! Konner was tired (once again) and was falling asleep in the swing (one of his FAVORITE things in the park) Kenna wouldn't fall asleep any where other than her bed if you paid her in fruit roll ups. They both never stop moving.....difference is Konner poops out occasionally and Kenna NEVER does! haha!

Happy Father's Day Sweetie!
We wish Keith was here for Father's Day....this is his 2nd one in a row to miss....last year he was in Iraq. So for his gift I have been working on making a movie/slideshow of the kids. So here are a few of the pics included on the slideshow. It turned out really cute!!

Poor baby has been so tired lately....he must be going through a growth spurt. We came home from the store and I put him on the ground so I could turn off our alarm.....and came back around the corner to see him asleep :o) How sweet.

all alone

This is the way Kenna insists on being taken to bed (by her dad....she tries to get me to do it.....fat chance! ha!)

What a sweet big sister, sharing her drink with her little brother and even holding it for him! ha!! All the while....she is watching tv.....what a girl.....multitasking!!

Well.....Keith left about 6 days ago for training in Alabama......for 6 weeks. It is going alot better than it did when he left for Iraq last summer I can tell you that for sure! It makes a big difference when the kids are older....mine are only 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 but it make soooo much of a difference. One big difference is that Kenna can verbalize a lot more this time.....and she gets on the phone and tells Keith she wants him to come home. Little does she know she has a long way to go :o( I put the phone up to Konner's ear and Keith started talking to him.....he lit up.....said Hi, backed away from the phone, looked at it and then leaned over and gave it a big smooch. It was the sweetest thing ever. If only I could get those smooches!! Haha! No.....it was super sweet. We are staying busy and trying to make the time go by faster. My mom should be coming to visit toward the end of Keith's leave. I am singing in a 4th of July "Freedom Celebration" and need her to help me with the kids so I can sing :o)

Konner once again can not stand or sit any where that you are "suppose too.....so I caught him sitting in one of the drawers of our entertainment center. Won't be long before his tooshy won't fit into it anymore! haha!

Colorado Springs Sky Sox Baseball

Kenna wearing sunglasses from last summer.....obviously too small! haha!
Konner riding in style on the way back to the car after the game
Kenna and Earl......one of Kenna's favorite babysitters
Kenna with Sky Fox a.k.a. Swyper the Fox from Dora the Explorer
Kenna Robert and Earl...
Konner enjoying the exciting game

Well on Memorial Day we went to our 2nd Sky Sox baseball game. It was pretty fun, the kids love it and we won! Yeah! I was questioning whether or not we should go at all....since it started at 12:45pm and the kids normally nap between 1-2:30.....so I wasn't sure they would make it. Konner didn't make it and napped for 45 minutes during the game. All together though it was fun. Kenna got to take pics with the Sky Sox Fox (or Swyper as she calls him .....from Dora the Explorer....she thinks he looks like that fox! ha!)

My mom was having picture withdrawels so I took some pics of Konner playing. I told him to smile and say cheese and this silly grin is what he kept giving me.

AAwwww how sweet

I was walking into the living room and saw this sweet sight....I couldn't resist taking a picture!! Kenna and her bud Kassie were chilling on the couch....what a cute pair.

new table

Thanks to President Bush and the economic stimulus check.....we now have a new dining table!! We got it at Oak Express....and the leaves come out to make it a bigger round table instead of square.

Little Teacher in the making

The other day.....Kenna and I were sitting in the middle of the floor.....and she took a book....turned it around....and started reading it to me just like a teacher. She said...."Children, look at the puppies, Children look at this and that...." it was too cute. She would turn the pages and look at it from upside down like a professional! That's my girl!

Pajama Bunko!!

My hair after curlers.....hello shirley temple!

The mom's bunko gang in our pj's!

Cat, Valerie and me!!

Which slipper do you think is mine....???
It's the white fuzzy slippers with the jewel...... on the bottom left

The other night I went to a mom's night out for a pajama bunko and it was a lot of fun! I of course could not go half way.....so i dressed up in my pj's and put curlers and a facial mask on. If there had been an award given out that night....I would have won!
(I didn't take a pic with the mask on....after leaving it on for an hour....I was afraid that the suggested 1 minute on the box.....would burn my face if I left it on longer!!!
