Happy 5 month Birthday to Kenna!!!!

Happy birthday to Kenna! She is growing fast, but I still can't even pathom her crawling, walking or talking! It seems forever away!!! Maybe I will read this in the future and think how fast it flew by!? She is eating rice cereal and green peas at this moment. Last night she started getting the hang of her door frame jumpy seat. It was cute!! She is also loving her bath time!! Keith was sitting on the toliet watching her play, and she was splashing so much and so big....that he was getting wet!!! I was cracking up!! She is sleeping 9pm to about 7:30am...not bad! She has got the crawling movements down...but hasn't quite picked up her bum. She will be crawling before we know it!

Arts & Crafts abound!

Well, yesterday Kenna and I went into town to get some pictures developed and then went over to Marsha's house (from church and the one who watched our dogs forever). Marsha and I are hosting the April Bunco for the Officer's Spouses Club, so we are getting prizes and making menus. We decided to make two of the prizes...one being a gag prize and one a real prize. The gag prize is a long standing joke within the group, so we thought it would be funny to make one. (I will have to explain later) The other prize is a Capri Sun purse, like the one I have. We are copying it....but with different colored juice boxes. It should be so cute...just like mine!!!! The women will be fighting over it!!! So needless to say, I layed my hands on a sewing machine for the fourth time in my life. Today Kenna and I are meeting Sara for lunch at a Chinese buffet in Minnesota (sounds far but not). By the way....this QUALITY picture is what happens when you try to take a picture of yourself in the middle of a chinese restaurant!!! YUCK! Tonight poor Keith is watching Kenna once again so I can go with my friend Dawn to a scrapbooking marathon. We are scrapbooking 6 to midnight......where food and fun will be abundant! ha! If I can keep my eyes ope until then...it will be nothing short of a miracle. I have been going to bed by 10pm or before!! Ugh! Not looking forward to that part of the evening. I know Kenna will still wake up at the same time, no matter when I go to bed! Well....I guess that is the price for fun, memories, and crafts!

Keith is on his way to "stardom"

Well yesterday was Keith's birthday and he enjoyed his first guitar lesson on Monday. It went well and he is looking forward to learning more. Look out American Idol!! ha! Kenna has decided she doesn't need fingers to play the guitar...just toes! I got him a DVD for his b-day (on top of the lessons) and some cheesecake which is his favorite. Poor guy had to babysit last night on his birthday.....but I was able to go to the OSC main event of the year. I of course did not win at bingo....but it was fun. This morning we are expecting some new friends to come over....Dawn and her 1 year old Addy. They just PCS'd here from Germany. Lucky dogs!!! Tonight I start teaching the ladies bible study for the first time. We are starting a book called "The Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free." I'll let you know how it goes. I lost sleep last night thinking about that, cleaning, the paint chipping in our basement for fear of the lead poisoning it could threaten, and whether or not to pursue a career. Ugh! Oh the things moms worry about.

Well....Keith is feeling better after recooperating from his cold and pink eye. Kenna is trying to get better from her cold. As for me....I feel pretty good. I found out my thyroid is VERY low which makes since. I am getting to where I can feel it when I am high or low. I have accomplished alot this morning. I have gone through my entire closet and gotten rid of three sacks of shoes. (Sad that I have that many...I know) So I can know see what I have! Yeah! I also have done 4 loads of laundry, cleaned, washed bottles, washed dishes, put up clean laundry, paid off Keith's Tx Higher Education school loan with income tax return money, talked to AUnt Jenetha, fed Kenna 2 bottles, rice cereal, played ball with Kassie, taken a bath, changed 2 diapers and played with Kenna....all before noon!! I plan on going to the cleaners this afternoon to pick up some uniforms and I want to try and put some shoes on consignment at the thrift store. Might as well try to make some money. If they don't sell in 6 weeks...then they get the "donation." Tonight Keith begins to enjoy his birthday present that is officially his tomorrow. He begins guitar lessons tonight. So...I am excited and more so....he is excited. So it looks like it is Kenna and I tonight. Tomorrow, on his birthday....he is lucky enough to watch Kenna while I go to the Officer's Spouse club main event of the year: Crystal Bingo. The main prize is a really nice kitchen island. Interestin huh? We'll see.....I am sure I will win nothing like usual. Stay tuned.
