New do!

That's funny Dawn that you commented on how long my hair was getting.....because I had it chopped yesterday. I thought it was time for a fresh start! So.....here we are. Kenna and Konner will get a cut next week I think. I am gonna sit on this cut for a few weeks and then if I want to change it to something a little more funky I will at Christmas.

Cornucopia Playgroup

I decided to host a playgroup the other day from my "Hip Mamas" group....and we decorated and filled "cornucopias" with yummy treats. The kids had fun....the mommies sipped coffee...and we had a good time :o) And then they took a nap....haha...kidding I wish! They were pretending to go to sleep :o)

The Melting Pot Night Out

If I look confused and distraught....it is because I am! He had so many rules and instructions that it had my head spinning! haha!

I went with some friends to the Melting Pot the other night for a ladies night out. We had a lot of fun and had some good food~!

Jumpy Time- Are these kids even in the same place?

It is starting to actually look like November around here!

As you can see....Konner clearly didn't have as much fun jumping as Kenna did!! He has had an ear infection that won't clear up....and he has been a serious grouchy bear lately.

Kenna and her "new" hair do!

We have had a lot of sick people in this house lately....poor Konner was one of them. He also got an ear infection.....so you an see here he isn't feeling so swell.

Was anyone expecting a package?? One of the many outfits in our dress up closet.

Kenna posing for the camera before we headed off to Church.....using her new scooter as a prop. I didn't coach her at all on this posing.....I just told her to smile and she crossed her legs. What a camera ham!!

Impromptu photo shoots....aren't they all

Kenna enjoying a bag of Cheetos....yum....what a mess!
Konner being silly while taking a break from Kenna's new Yo gabba gabba guitar.

Uncle Charles broke out his camera and shot some interestingly different photos with his camera...and I thought I would share them. The pictures with Konner in my lap are when we were watching the awesome game between Texas Tech vs Texas....what a game!! Loved it!! We are rocking it out at #2 in the nation!! Oh yeah!!

burning off steam

I finally got the camera out while the kids were jumping in the jumpy castle.....but it is hard to take good pictures while kids are jumping!! Or maybe I need a better camera....that is probably more like it!! The jumper has been great in the cold weather to burn energy inside and we also broke it out during Kenna's birthday party.

Kenna's new "big girl" transitional bed......and her newly decorated room! She loved it.....but asked why her ceiling wasn't painted pink. Ugh.....we had to laugh and break it to her that she wasn't going to get a pink ceiling......she didn't quite understand why not!? haha! Her uncle has since painted a cute end table to match her room too!

What fun presents!

More candy hunting....

Blowing out the birthday cake from Costco (impressively yummy)

Konner testing out Kenna's new gift....

surprise....another gift!

Money from Grandma

Kenna LOVES Jack-on-the-boxes...and I had been looking for one and found a vintage 1970 metal jack-in-the-box that was in mint shape....for $3.00! Can't beat that! She loved it....and yes I had contemplated selling it on eBay....but resisted. (haha!)

Continued tradition of decorating birthday room during the night...

Happy Birthday Kenna!! I am a day late....yesterday was entirely too busy to stop and blog!! Kenna turned 3 yesterday and we had a lot of fun!! Grammie and Granddad gave her a Radio Flyer Scooter that she loves, mommy and daddy redecorated her room (I will post pics later of that....), her grandma gave her money, and she got a ton of other things she loves. We decided to have her birthday party at our house and try it on Halloween on her actual birthday for once and see how it went. We had a blast......and gave out the traditional "Kenna's favorite Hit's" CD's in the kids party bags. There was supposed to be 40 people there....which kinda stressed me out....but it ended up being about 30 people....which was much more doable. We ate, went trick-or-treating as a group, did a flash light candy hunt in the backyard, ate cake, opened presents.....and called it a night :o) When I finally sat down I realized that I had taken about 5 pictures and most were horrible! Man I should have assigned someone the job of taking pictures. Oh well.....it will have to live on in our memories...haha! Everyone's costumes looked awesome......and my mom even dressed up as a Texas Tech Cheerleader.......how many 60 year old moms can do that! Impressive!! :o)
