Next performers on "America's Got Talent!"

Well.....I think we might qualify for America's Got Talent or Cool Tricks off of Yo Gabba Gabba with these kind of stunts....and if you notice.....all while one is wearing the top of a pair of pajamas and the other is wearing the bottom. They did that all on their own! ha!

Trunk or Treat

Well.....today has been a long and tiring day! We have some friends who own a sport franchise called I9....it is all over the US....you should check it out for kiddos....they support some pretty awesome standards in sports.

Visit www.i9sports.com

Well anyway....they had two events today and could only be at one.....so they asked Keith and I to run all the football events. So we did. Keith ran all the sports and referees, and I ran the concession stand. It went well....but we are sun burned, wind chapped, and tired. Then Kenna and I went Trunk or Treating with my meetup.com playgroup....the Hip Mamas :o) As you can see I was a Taco (because Keith was supposed to be a chef....but Konner fell asleep last minute and he had to stay with him) so.....Kenna the princess and myself the Taco...headed off to trunk or treat. (I didn't want Kenna to wear her JoJo costume again in fear that it would get dirty or ruined before her b-day party this week. Anyway....she had fun, the trunks were creatively decorated, and the fire department came to visit.

Boo at the Zoo

Well last weekend we headed off to the Boo at the Zoo at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was too much fun!! We are members at the zoo although we have some how not found the time to go. So we finally got all dressed up and headed there.....where they handed out candy, fed the giraffes, looked at creepy crawlies, went through a kinda haunted house, etc.....and the kids had a blast. I was suprised at what a hit my kids costumes were! For one their costumes were warm enough that they didn't have to wear a coat over it like most kids.....so you could actually see them. #2 they weere the only Disney costumes I saw! Surprising! Anyway....Kenna cracked me up. People would walk by and say "Oh there is JoJo for JoJo's Circus....and Kenna would say "That's me...I'm JoJo....Hi!.....that's me!" And she would do the pagant wave....like she was a celebrity! She ate it up!! Everyone loved Konner too.....who doesn't know who Nemo is!!?? We had so much fun we are thinking about going again this weekend.

Family Fun Tie Die activity

Wear your Halloween spirit on your sleeve with this groovy tie-dyed jack-o'-lantern shirt.

CRAFT MATERIALS:

White T-shirt, washed
Rubber bands
Orange fabric dye
Sink or bucket for the dye
Rubber gloves
Blunt-ended scissors
Cardboard (for inside of shirt)
Black permanent marker
Black fabric paint
Paintbrush

Time needed: Under 1 Hour
Pumpkin Shirt: Step 1 1. Pinch and gather up a portion of the T-shirt fabric, then add a rubber band 1 or 2 inches from the point of the pinch. Wrap the band around several times until it's nice and tight. Create similar sections with rubber bands all over the shirt and sleeves.
Pumpkin Shirt: Step 2 2. Prepare the dyebath according to the instructions on the package. Thoroughly wet the shirt with water. Wearing rubber gloves, submerge the shirt in the dye. Let it soak until it looks a shade darker than you want it to be.
Pumpkin Shirt: Step 3 3. Still wearing gloves, rinse the shirt under warm running water. As the rinse water becomes less orange, change the water temperature to cold.
Pumpkin Shirt: Step 4 4. Once the water from the shirt runs clear, carefully cut off the rubber bands. Dry the shirt.
Pumpkin Shirt: Step 5 5. Insert cardboard inside the shirt, then use a permanent marker to draw jack-o'-lantern features inside each circle. Fill in the shapes with the marker, or use black fabric paint (which stays black longer).

Family Fun project

Well the other day we went to a playgroup and made jack-o-lantern t-shirts from the Family Fun magazine. We brought white shirts and tie died them to make jack-o-lanterns. They turned out cute but not orange enough. I learned after the fact that I was supposed to have washed the new shirts first! UGH! So we have yellow-ish orange pumpkins!! Oh well you live and learn!! Konner's is the same but has little tiny pumpkins all over. It was fun and I would definitely like to do it again....I will just know exactly what to do and not do the next time!!

SPROUT B-day card entry

Well Kenna's birthday is fast approaching (Oct 31st) so I finally slapped together a birthday card for Kenna (using their guidelines and restrictions) to send into Sprout tv.....in hopes that it is shown on tv. It is not great and I made a TON of mistakes....but I figured who cares? Kenna certainly won't! haha! So....here is it and we will see what happens!!

My Shoe Queen....giving her Grammie a run for her money

Well....I had to take a picture of Kenna in one of her fashionable outfits. I was trying to catch a good photo so I can attempt to make a b-day card for her and send it into Sprout tv in hopes that it gets chosen to show on air. I didn't realize what a matching monster I had created. I was getting her ready for church the other day and asked her to put on the shoes I was handing her....and my 2 year old said "Mom those shoes definitely do not match". I had to laugh....that was the first time I had heard her use definitely in a sentence and correctly at that! She then came in with another pair of shoes and said "these absolutely match mom".....once again I had to laugh. She is also a HUGE shoe fanatic....and has been for quite a while. Her latest favorite type of shoe is a ballet flat....especially the ones from the Gap....since they have an elastic strap and are easy to slip on. She calls them her ballet shoes...and loves to wear them. Luckily I have been able to get them off of ebay used for cheap.

what a sight to see...

Thank goodness we have found two sweet girls to babysit for us....so that Keith and I can go on the occasional date. It makes me laugh though because one of the gals seems to have a problem putting on Konner's diapers. I got Konner out of bed the morning after a date night that we had (we went and saw the movie Fireproof....good movie with a good message)....and he walked into the living room and this was the sight I saw. I had to laugh....he didn't even seem the least bit bothered that his diaper and pants were half on and half off.
