Yeah for food!

Tonight for dinner, Konner decided to put his dinner plate on his head. Well after he pulled it off....it left a mohawk! We started cracking up and this is the look that appeared on his face. He was tickled with himself!!! Look at this ham!!!!

Cousin time!

Kenna and Konner's cousin Michelle has been here vising....and they have really been enjoying their bonding time!! They have been getting along wonderfully except the few times Kenna doesn't feel like sharing her toys. That is still a lesson we are trying to learn. Some adults are still learning that....haha!

He looks like a big boy!!

Konner got his first real haircut yesterday! His Grandma Rosie cut his hair....and he wasn't too fond of the process. But he looks so stinkin cute!! Every time I look at him....I smile. He looks so much older....and I can see all of his chubs so clearly now! It is funny......we went to the mall and he got fawned over by soooo many women. He even got us a discount at the food court where they don't usually give discounts! His looks are already charming the ladies!!!

Tonight we went to a church Christmas party, and there were a ton of people there from TX! Oddly enough, 15 families from my home town came here to start this church. So we felt right at home. Crazy!! Kenna was SO excited the minute I told her we were going to a party. It was like someone injected her with a serious shot of adrenaline. She jabbered, danced and sang the whole time we were getting ready. Then she put on her Christmas sweater, hat and mittens and she was even more excited. Then she saw that we were taking presents to exchange and she was even more excited. I love seeing the world through a 2 year old's eyes!! By the way....the reason Kenna has an ornament hanging from her zipper is because of a game we played. I am sure most of you have played the baby shower game where you wear a safety pin and try not to say the word BABY...or someone will take your pin....and whoever has the most pins at the end, wins. Well this game was the same but you couldn't say Christmas and the "pin" was an ornament. It was pretty fun....except as usual I lost mine within the first 15 minutes. We also played Let's Make a Deal and of course we picked box #2 which had one bottle of nail polish in it. Bummer!

Anyone else want to join me??

This morning I sat down for five minutes Kenna wanted to join me. Then Konner wanted up, then my brother's dog Hazel, then my dog Kassie!! Before I knew it, the chair had reached far beyond it's maximum capacity! Ha! The more the merrier I guess!

AND stop snickering....I am not wearing pantie hose...my legs are really just that white!! haha!

Happy girl after a good nap!!
Uncle Charles playing with the bells and whistles on his new camera

HHHmmmm...I think I will take just one.
These two are double trouble....
Ok one more......
Kenna in her newest Princess dress from our friend Janise!!
Kenna eating yummy pancakes that her Uncle Charles cooked up. He was looking for something fun to put in the batter and founds oreos! I that it sounded nasty....but the oreo pancakes were good! Who would have thought! Look out Emerill!!

Well.....we finally got the Christmas decorations up. I went to Home Depot with the instructions to get a real tree. I had those intentions, but after contemplating the reality of having a real tree, with glass ornaments, and my little ones.....I quickly decided that a small, pre-lit tree with shatter proof ornaments sounded better to me. So, I came home with a fake tree. Kenna and Konner were more than happy with it!! It seems for every one ornament that I put back on the tree, Konner takes two off!! It is tiring.....so I have somewhat given up. I think it will suit us fine this year and we will go back to real trees next year when Konner can take a little more direction!!

Yeah for visitors!!

Well.......since we have been here (3 weeks) we have had at least one guest staying here at all times. Diane PCS'd here with us and finally found a house for her family. So that is good news for her....bad for me. She has been a HUGE help. My mom came for 4 days to help me unpack and left this morning. My brother drive here last night and might be staying through the holidays!! Yeah!! It is always nice to have family around. Kenna and Konner are so used to people coming in and out (with moving, packing, visitors, etc....) they don't even flench when a new face comes in! ha!!

I have set up a play date to be at my house in a week & 1/2...so that is my deadline to try to have the house presentable. I am in the Pikes Peak Hip Mamas group....it has been fun. We have gone to an indoor amusement park that has a whole little town for toddlers, had several play groups, gone to a place called Pump It UP that has 12 indoor inflatable bouncers/obstacle courses, a place called My Gym that is an exercise place for mom and tots. We went to Old Colorado City where we shopped and visited Santa. All that on top of unpacking. We have been busy folks.

I also went shopping the morning of Black Friday with Jill Ayres (from Grand Forks...she moved here this last summer) We left my house at 4:30 am and fought the crowds! It was INSANE!! We stayed at the first store (Toys R Us) from 5am until 8:15am!! It was crazy....but fun all at the same time. I guess I am an adreneline junky....I love a bargain!!

Let it snow, Let it snow, let it snow!

Well....it has been pretty mild here and finally we have gotten some snow!! It is so pretty when everything is white and clean. We also have a nice view of Pikes Peak from our yard. Here are some pic of our new house....outside at least!

Well we ventured out to the mall last night....and what trip to the mall would be complete without a visit to Santa?! I was a little nervous about how it would go....since this was Kenna's and Konner's first visit (Kenna skipped last year and this is Konner's 1st Christmas!). It went really well. There were no tears shed.....just a few funny looks at the bearded man.....but all and all they were content! So I guess there is no lump of coals in our future! YEAH!!

This past weekend we went to Peterson AFB and had breakfast with Santa. They had a breakfast buffet, tables were you could decorate cookies, magicians who made things out of balloons, face painting, and of course pictures with Santa. We didn't quite make it to take pictures with Santa because we came late and were #732 and 733. So....we decided we could take pictures with him another place and time. Luckily Kenna and Konner didn't care! Swhew!

Later we went shopping at the HUGE BX and you will notice that it isn't merchandise that we have in our stroller basket!! haha!

Who's that girl!??

No it's not just a Madonna song.....it is today's blog theme!! I was unpacking boxes the other day....who am I kidding.....ok every day.......and ran across a picture of myself about at about Kenna's age. I was kinda shocked at how much we look alike....or at least at the age of 2!! Like mother, like daughter I guess.

WE ARE HERE!!!!!

So we are here in Colorado......and things are going well. When we first got here, my first impression was that it was smaller than I had envisioned in my mind's eye. (or in the virtual tour camera) We got our furniture delivered yesterday....so the house is a wreck. Our furniture looks so big in this house. I really like the house.....but I am quickly discovering it's quirks. The kids are adapting well and quickly. Kassie and Kenna both love having a fenced in back yard. We have to dead bolt the front door though.....Kenna will out the door in 5 seconds....a lady rang our door bell this morning after Kenna had gotten out for 2 minutes. Ugh! Scary!

I wanted to give everyone my new email address:
knkprince@comcast.net

I will update more later and add pics!! Later everyone!

What a fun day!!!

Happy Halloween everyone.....and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to KENNA!!!!!! She was born 2 years from today! Seems like yesterday....literally. She is such a sweet hearted girl....I love her soooo much!!! She has watched this one episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse a thousand times....but every time Pluto gets his feelings hurt and walks off sulking....she crys for him. She comes to me crying and wants to know Pluto will be ok. Too cute.

This year I started the tradition that my mom did for us all growing up....and decorated Kenna's room while she was sleeping so she would wake up to a surprise. She woke up and loved the balloons and banners. She opened her presents and then went to the Escape Zone to play. We are hopefully going to take a nap and then go trick-or-treating at the health clinic....then we are off to a Halloween party in town. Kenna's b-day party isn't until Saturday....and I think I over did it.....but you only turn 2 once...right?

We love fall!!

About to take off on the hayride.....look at that BLACK North Dakota dirt!
Ready for anything....

The Prince Bunch.....
What cute pumpkins....oh wait...those aren't pumkins....hehe!

My new favorite face of Konner's. He makes it all the time!! LOVE IT!!

Taking a walk in the Haunter Forrest.....(although to Kenna it was just trees)

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and had lots of fun!! We picked out some pumpkins, went pumkin bowling, went on a hay ride, went through half of a corn maze and then decided we didn't want to get lost with a toddler and a baby...then turned around!! It was cool but not too cold. It was a nice day~suprising for October in North Dakota!
