Little behind.....

Well I am a little behind, but twoo weeks ago Keith, the kiddos and I went to the MOA (Mall of America) for two days. It was fun....but exhausting as anyone could imagine with two kids under two! While we were there the MOA was having military appreciation day in their amusment park,.....lucky us! So we all got to ride unlimited rides all day! My favorite part of the trip was seeing how much fun Kenna had on all the rides. She sqweeled with excitement on each one! We mostly did shopping for the kids....but what's new right!?

At night Konner had to sleep in his pack n play....and one evening she decided to join Konner for a breif second...and here are the two peas in a pod....

Well.....we went hiking the other day at Turtle River and I got my camera out and clicked away! The pictures turned out cute....and Kenna had fun with her daddy! She picked up rocks, leaves and all sorts of treasures!!

Well....tonight is a very sad night. Kieffer, the poodle who I have had for 7 years, is no longer with us. Keith and I have been crying all evening and I will have to write more about it later (I think it is too much for me right now...and I am trying to stop crying). Just wanted to pay a quick tribute to him and say a little doggie prayer for him....in hopes that he is happy in his doggie heaven with plenty of people scraps to eat, stuff to chew up, a fluffy bed to sleep on and ruffle up, etc.....

On the way home from Texas...we were able to stop and visit with Keith's mom and brother. It was Konner's first time to meet them.....and Kenna's first time to meet her uncle. We only got to visit an hour 1/2, but we enjoyed it while we could. Her nana showered them with some gifts...my b-day gift and we ate some fine gourmet food at Le McD's.....(fancy for McDonalds).

Well Keith made it back and boy are we happy!!!!! After the intial 20 seconds where Kenna wasn't too sure about daddy....she didn't want him out of her sight! I was so happy! We had both been nervous about the reunion. She was hyper the rest of the night. Keith couldn't believe how much Kenna had grown and gotten taller. Konner was now a mobile baby...and all Keith remembered was a blob in a bouncy seat! ha! Now he is all over the place.

Well...one of my best friend's, Micah and her son William, are here visiting me from Houston. We have known each other since we were 13....and we have been enjoying her visit. Her son is a month & 1/2 older than Kenna, so they have been playing together.

On the move....

Well Konner has begun to low crawl....army style....but he also like to get himself up into a triangle pose. He has got some serious baby muscles and baby balance! Go Konner! Don't you just love those cheeks...I want to pinch them and kiss them all the time!!!

It's official!!!

Well it is official.....we will all be moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 10th (if not sooner...) Keith got a job at the Air Force Academy as an instructor doing what he loves to do! He will be working with cadets that are not passing their physical fitness tests, etc....and getting them up to speed. Being that his major was Exercise and Sport Science...he will love it. I am happy for him...and I am looking forward to some prettier scenery....but like always....I am not looking forward to making new friends, finding a new church home, making new neighbors, deciding whether to live on base or buy a house, etc...ugh. Such is life in the Air Force. The good news is that we will be much closer to home! yeah!

Happy Anniversary Keith!

Well Keith and I have been married 5 years today! Too bad he isn't here.....but we will be celebrating it very soon!! We decided we will be able celebrate our 9 year anniversary together(we started dating 9 years ago on Sept 20th) I love you honey!! Sorry...this is the only picture my mom had her computer of the two of us together....pregnant and holding a baby....nice! haha!

Well in exciting baby news...haha...Konner has gotten his first 2 baby teeth in the past two days. (which explains why our normally always cheerful baby was suddenly grumpy) We had professional pictures take of Kenna and Konner and their two cousins this week. And then today, Konner had his 7 month pictures (he turns 7 months tomorrow) taken. We had the professional photographer from Houston that took Kenna's wonderful pics at 9months and 1 year take the pics. We took them at the Tech Terrace around some beautiful trees. I am sure they will be wonderful and crazy hard to choose from. I wanted Kenna and I to hop into the photos, because I just saw the movie "No Reservations"...and if you have seen it...you might know why I felt the need to preserve my memory! hah! I am always the photographer and never in the pics....and I thought the kids might want to see me in them some day (I am not too hip on seeing me in them....but I realize they will)

My mom started back to work this week as school is soon to start, so the kids and I are back to being by ourselves. We leave to drive back to North Dakota in 2 weeks! Crazy how time flies...then Keith will be home shortly after. YEAH!

Well....the story behind the sad Konner faces: Konner is always in such good spirits and such a trooper....he rarely cries and is always happy go lucky. So....I thought I needed to document that he does get upset occasionally. My mom thought I was cruel for letting him cry while I took pictures. The funny thing is, he would be crying and I would raise the camera to take a picture and he would stop. Then I would lower the camera, he would start crying and then I would raise the camera and he would stop. It was pretty funny.

The picture of Kenna and her two cousins....one night they were coming over for dinner and arrived at the door looking like this. I had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn't Halloween! As you can see the look on Kenna's face....she is a little bewildered too. HA!

The last picture is after Kenna's nap. She wanted Konner to lay down with her.....so I had to snap a picture. I kept trying to get him out of the bed, for fear she might roll on him....but she did not want him to leave.

As far as our news goes.....Keith is back on for coming home as planned (about a week after my b-day for those of you who know when that is) UGH! What an emotional roller coaster....so that is great news....but he may have to leave for the month & 1/2 training on Kenna's b-day instead....which is a bummer. He missed her 1 year b-day and then would miss her 2 year. We'll see what happens.

Well.....yesterday was a real downer. I got a call from Keith and instead of him coming home around my birthday (Sept 3rd) he is now having to wait until Oct 17th. I think I cried all day yesterday. I just wasn't expecting that. I was ready to go home, get settled and see him!!! Now I have to wait another 2 1/2 months! When he gets home...he will have been away 7 months of poor Kenna's 22 months...and Konner's 9 months. Such is life I suppose....I know others have longer.....but it doesn't make it any easier. I am still going home at the same time.....which is good and bad. It is kind of lonely at home....everyone is always doing their own thing.

Well enough boo-hooing for me....but on a lighter note...everyone is well. So that is good. Our dogs have stopped being sick according to their babysitters...so that is good too. That is all for now...I am off to spend some time with my brother!!

Well , Konner has started to pull to his hands and knees and rock back and forth! So.....he is getting closer to crawling. He still isn't sitting on his own....so that tells me he is more interested in moving than sitting. Not surprising. Kenna is good also. She and I just ended a round of the stomach flu last week. NOT fun. My neice, nephew and brother also got it. Right now....Konner either has allergies and because of the congestion has thrown up a few times, or he now has the virus also. I am praying it is not the stomach flu! UGH!! I want to sleep one of these days. I was crying from exhaustion the other day, thinking how I haven't slept in about 3 years. I got pregnant with Kenna (no sleep), had Kenna (no sleep), golt pregnant with Konner (no sleep) and then had Konner (no sleep). That equals a whole lot of NO sleep. Such is life I suppose. We will survive!!

Konner is 6 months old!!

Konner turned 6 months old yesterday....hard to believe is 1/2 a year old! I also can't believe Kenna is almost three months away from 2. Insane! Keith is doing well and we talk to him every day. He is very tired though...poor guy. He is going to have to come home in order to rest...imagine that! This is Konner after eating his cereal......you see how much he likes it! haha! Also the other picture is Konner after his cousin Jade got ahold of him and put necklaces and Kenna's PINK shoes on him!! Por guy!

What a sweet pair of kids.....

Here is a picture of Kenna is the crazy swing at gymnastics. There are little kids that have been going there for months and even a year and they won't get in it. Kenna went in it the first day! She loved it!!



I am finally trying to do a few things for myself. It has been hard to think of myself since the kids have been born. I tend to be an all or nothing type of gal.....so I have been giving the kids my ALL. So....I was urged by family members to start taking some time for myself. Well I got my hair highlighted this weekend and went to my first appointment to get my teeth whitened. I go this week to pick up the trays and gel. So.....I have at least started.



Well....that is all for now. I need to get in bed since the kids have both finally fallen asleep.

Things are good here in TX and going alot faster than if we were at home alone...I can assure you of that!! Konner has started solids and is now rolling over both ways. Yeah Konner! Kenna is talking up a storm....my favorite recent saying is either "Binkie where are you (where are you is all one word)" or "See ya Momma!" or "Whoa dude!" Kenna has been in gymnastics and it has been fun. We have been going to the pool, park, shopping...you name it. I have been going to a women's bible study on Wednesday mornings and that has been great too! I went to my first movie in 6 months today....Harry Potter. It was good!
